Strawberry Froyo | Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

This strawberry frozen yogurt recipe is beyond easy. It takes just three ingredients and 30 seconds! It’s healthy, delicious, fruity and the perfect quick dessert for hot days. Time to whip up a batch!

Is Frozen Yogurt Healthy?

Let’s be clear that not all frozen yogurt is created equal. This homemade version is exponentially healthier than anything you can buy in the supermarket or frozen yogurt shop. And that’s because you can control the ingredients and the amount of sugar.

My version of strawberry frozen yogurt has three ingredients – yogurt, strawberries and honey.

Is Frozen Yogurt Better Than Ice Cream?

So, the big debate: Is frozen yogurt better than ice cream? And by better, I mean better for our health. The answer, my friends, always depends on what those things are actually made of. Not all fro-yos are made equal, with many of them containing more sugar than regular ice cream.

This strawberry frozen yogurt recipe is made from 100% real foods, which makes it clean, free of refined sugars, free of heavy creams, and all that junk that’s normally in store-bought ice creams.

Which Yogurt Is Best To Use?

I’m using greek yogurt because its thicker. If you are using homemade or any other yogurt, make sure to strain out the water through a cheesecloth. If using store bought yogurt, don't but the ones which are fruit based or loaded with sugar.

Serves - 4

Ingredients:

200 gms chilled yogurt
400 gms  frozen strawberries
2 tbsp honey (more if the strawberries are tart)

Method:
  1. Add the yogurt, honey and strawberries into the blender
  2. In 30 seconds you'll have frozen yogurt
  3. Scoop out the frozen yogurt and serve immediately or transfer to a storage container and freeze.

Important Notes:
Be careful not to over-blend the frozen yogurt. It'll get quite soft if you blend it too long.
