Multiseed No Knead Bread

I have to upfront declare that I'm not an expert in bread baking. I have had multiple failed attempts in bread baking until I found this easy easy no knead bread recipe off the internet. The original recipe called for double the quantity of ingredients and some other things. However, I tweaked it a bit to our taste and liking with every attempt and eventually I have stuck to this tweaked recipe. It requires no kneading and uses no special ingredients, equipment or techniques. It takes very little effort — only time. You will need 24 hours to create the bread, but much of this is unattended waiting, a slow fermentation of the dough that results in a perfect loaf. This is just the simplest kind of bread you can make. You basically throw everything into a bowl and mix it up, then sit around, let the yeast do its work, and bake it. But it’s not just a bread for beginners — those who bake frequently also really love a no knead bread. The slow rise gives this bread great flavor, ...

Veg Thai Green Curry

There’s a common misconception that thai green curry is green in colour from all the thai basil used in the recipe. While there is often thai sweet basil tossed into the curry, the real green colour of the curry comes from thai green chilies that are the main ingredient of the thai green curry paste used to make the curry. The green chilies are bird’s eye chilies, but only the green ones are used for this recipe. Some recipes add extra sugar to make green curry sweeter, but other traditional thai green curry recipes just rely on the coconut cream to provide the sweetness — I prefer the latter without adding extra sugar. Making The Thai Green Curry Paste: Like with many thai recipes, especially curries, the paste is the most important flavouring of the entire dish. The curry paste is a mixture of ingredients that are pounded together until all the oils are released and the ingredients are fully pureed into a paste in texture. The first step in this Thai green curry paste re...

One Pot Chana Pulao | One Pot Chickpea Pilaf

Chana Pulao is a simple one pot dish that’s flavoured with lots of spices so that every bite is a riot! Serve this with raita or your favourite curry for an easy, vegetarian dinner. This easy one-pot spiced fragrant pulao is made with basmati rice, kabuli chana, herbs and spices. One pot recipes are such a lifesaver and chana pulao fits the bill so perfectly. Kabuli chana or chickpeas are full of protein and I love their creamy texture when they are cooked properly. For this  chana pulao obviously you have to first cook the chickpeas. If you have leftover boiled chickpeas then it saves a lot of time. Canned chickpeas can used as well! Another variation to the same dish can be by adding vegetables to the mix. You can use carrots, green beans, potatoes and cauliflower or you can add mushrooms or paneer. It really tastes good this way too. But this time I wanted the star of the dish to be the chickpeas and I kept it a very simple one pot meal. Canned chickpeas vs. ...

The combination of flavors and textures makes this a very exciting salad to eat! This salad is a winner! Mango is a fruit I actually love a lot and cant get enough! I love how meaty and filling it is, the perfect amount of sweetness and it’s ability to make a smoothie extra creamy! Mango contains an ample amount of polyphenols, compounds that are antioxidants and help protect the body against free radical damage. Mangos also contain vitamin C which helps produce collagen in the body, necessary for healthy skin, and vitamin A which keeps skin firm and healthy! Avocado plays an incredible role in improving the health of hair, skin, and nails. The power of this delicious fruit (yes avocados are a fruit!) is in the healthy fats avocados contain. Avocados are loaded...
