Just when you thought the festivities are over, and you are done having the mithai's, Gelato Italioano, introduces the ‘Rich Scoop Fiesta’ – a Limited Edition of premium flavors for all dessert lovers. The brand in addition to its existing signature range will be introducing four premium flavours made with all exotic ingredients. The Limited Edition ‘Rich Scoop Fiesta’ flavours are  Belgian Chocolate Gelato,  Black Forrest Gelato,  Fruit & Nut Gelato and  Tiramisu Gelato,   The fiesta will be available from 20th October, 2014 and till 31st December 2014. A pack of these four flavours were hand delivered to my home by a very nice gentleman from the Gelato Italiano team. I was pleasantly surprized to see a nice ribbon tied to the boxes. During my visit at the Tangra Food Festival @JW Marriott, Bengaluru , I gathered a lot of information regarding the Tangra cuisine  and its heritage. The Chinese culture has so much influence on the Tangra cuisine that it has its distinct flavour and its still carried on even after centuries. I loved this golden fried prawns that they showed as a demo in the JW Kitchen. Absolutely subtle yet distinct flavors. On my next visit to Kolkata I surely do want to visit the East of Kolkata to get a sense of the Kolkatian with Chinese influence. I also wish to purchase some locally produced sauces. Tangra is a region in east Kolkata that traditionally housed a large number of tanneries owned by people of Hakka Chinese origin. "47 South Tangra Road", may be the most confusing postal address, as it used to cover the whole of Chinatown Tangra with over 350 tanneries. Most of the standing structures have been built, over many years, by the industrious Hakka Chinese, upon marshy and reclaimed low lying land. Over the past several decades, it has served as the location of Calcutta's Chinatown.
